Michael Paige at MarketWatch reports:
McAfee Inc.’s stock rose as much as 3.4% on Monday after the company said it renewed a pact with Microsoft Corp. to provide online security to subscribers of the software giant’s MSN Premium Internet service.
The extension of the pact originally inked in 2003, while unlikely to dramatically shift McAfee’s revenue, did help remove an overhang on the stock due to uncertainty lingering about its renewal. It also provided a lift to sentiment among some investors concerned about the impact of Microsoft’s own security plans on partners.

My McAfee icon constantly tells me my
software is highly out of date, I am running version 10 and McAfee is on Version 12. I have MSN Premium which includes McAfee Security, why has it not been upgraded?

Hi Leeland. I just came across your question from 2007 about why your Mcafee security had not been upgraded. I’ve recently started getting the same messages and slow service. I can’t figure it out. Did you ever get an answer? What did you have to do?

I have a new HP computer with Vista home premium and try to install the McAfee program that comes with my Verizon with MSN Premium, but without succes. Any suggestions where to find it and how to download the program will be appriciated. John K.
