Nintendo’s Wii game console has left both Sony’s PS3 and Microsoft’s Xbox 360 far behind in Japanese sales and is pulling away according to statistics from Japanese publisher Enterbrain.
The Wii outsold the PS3 6 to 1 in June after leading 4 to 1 in April and 5 to 1 in May. Raw numbers for June were:
It’s no particular surprise that the the Xbox 360 is trailing badly since it has always had difficulty in Japan, but the amount of the Wii’s lead over the PS3 is astounding.
