Microsoft yesterday announced a press event on October 16 featuring Bill Gates and Jeff Raikes to launch the next generation of unified communications software or more precisely, “to highlight the general availability of Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007, Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 and Microsoft Office Live Meeting.”
Microsoft took the opportunity yesterday to tout its strength in the Business Intelligence (BI) market and announce that Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 would be launched on September 19.
It was announced yesterday that Microsoft found a taker for some of its Windows Live platform services in Bebo, the San Francisco based social network that is very popular in the UK.
